Beef Wholesale Deposit

Honest Pastures Farm is accepting non-refundable deposits on wholesale beef for Summer 2026 processing. The summer 2025 wholesale price is $6.75/lb* on the hanging weight which includes basic processing. 

How does it work?

You purchase your share of beef by paying the deposit and the difference is then charged when the beef goes to the processor. Buying this way means you buy the entire beef carcass and then decide how you want it cut**. 

When it comes time for pickup, you will bring boxes/coolers to Buckeye Surf & Turf in Troy, Ohio; this is usually about 3 weeks from the time they go in for processing.

* All prices and weights for a whole, half, or quarter beef are based on hanging weight, and include processing, aging, cutting, vacuum sealing, and freezing. Beef take-home weights are approximately 25-35% less than carcass hanging weight due to trimming and deboning.

** Customers purchasing a quarter beef may not have the option to choose how it's cut due to potential conflicts between different cuts. The butchering process involves intricate decisions to ensure optimal use of the entire animal, which can sometimes limit customization for smaller portions like a quarter beef.
