Honest Pastures Farm is offering non-refundable deposits on wholesale beef for July/August 2024. The 2025 wholesale price is $6.50/lb on the hanging weight. You purchase your share of beef by paying the deposit and the difference is then charged when the beef goes to the processor. Buying this way means you buy the side of beef and then decide how you want it cut. Depending on your cut choices, deboning, moisture loss and trimming, you can expect to take home about 65% of the hanging weight. Your final take home weight will vary due to these variables. When it comes time for pickup, you will bring boxes/coolers to Buckeye Surf & Turf in Troy, Ohio; this is usually about 3 weeks from the time they go in for processing.
